Tips for Natural Conversation
- Listen first. Oromo conversation often has more pauses than English.
- Use affirmations. Say "tole" (okay), "eeyyee" (yes), or "dhugaa" (true) while listening.
- Do not rush. Speed comes with fluency.
- Ask clarifying questions — "Mee irra deebi'i" (Please repeat).
Practice Assignment
Record yourself having a 2-minute conversation in Afaan Oromoo. Review what you said and identify three words you want to add to your vocabulary.
